We need to think in terms of CUCME for SIP or SCCP. i.e 3 signals if the CUCM/E call signaling is completed, between the phones there is only RTP.

What they mean by the "handset"? The SIP phone or the SCCP one? If SIP it would be 2 (active call signalling + media) but if SCCP then 3 (active call media and signalling + signalling of the second one). Am I right or not?

why 3? No mention anywhere that the call is forwarded 1 for incoming call, 2 for second incoming call
