A business continuity plan (BCP) is a document that outlines how a business will continue operating during an unplanned disruption in service. ... Plans may provide detailed strategies on how business operations can be maintained for both short-term and long-term outages. B is correct

But if the BCP isn't in place, then perhaps it was never included in the SLA from the service provider, hence the SLA should be addressed to INCLUDE a BCP.

Answer is B. Business continuity plan "If the disaster requires actions offsite from the primary infrastructure, it is under the jurisdiction of business continuity." The key phrase in this question is "contracted with an outside vendor." Disaster recovery involves "getting the IT infrastructure up and running at the primary business location(s)." This is not what is happening in this scenario. -Mike Meyers, Network+ Certification Exam N10-006, pg. 642

jason dion.. OBJ-3.2: A business continuity plan (BCP) is a plan to help ensure that business processes can continue during a time of emergency or disaster. Such emergencies or disasters might include a fire or any other case where business cannot occur under normal conditions. A disaster recovery plan is useful (and usually a piece of the large business continuity plan), but it is insufficient for the long-term strategy which is needed to support business operations during an extended outage.

I think you're right. Disaster recovery is about how to put it back to normal, Business continuity is how to keep the business going when a disaster strikes.

DR is short term; recovering from a disaster in a matter of days if not hours. BCP is long term; how to continue business over a period of months. COVID is a good example here. DR would be working in smaller shifts and limiting how many people are working in close proximity. BCP would be beefing up the VPN and setting employees up to work remote.

The trick here is "long-term strategy"---------------------This makes option A most correct.
