A ) NetAPI polling is used to retrieve server LOGON sessions - https://kb.fortinet.com/kb/documentLink.do?externalID=FD47732 It must be considered that the bandwidth usage is based on the concurrent logged-in users when the polling action is executed - https://kb.fortinet.com/kb/documentLink.do?externalID=FD34906

A is only answer I can think of, since they included a bandwidth usage explanation and calculation. Not B. NetSessionEnum tracks established sessions, not logouts. Not C. It is an API that queries the DC, but it doesn't query for logins, it queries for established sessions Not D. Doesn't search security event logs.

FortiGate_Infrastructure_6.4 page 265 says that it pools the temorary sessions when a user logs on or logs off. I thinks its B. By the other hand I think that A and D are related to Winseclog charasteristics, and C to WMI.

https://kb.fortinet.com/kb/documentLink.do?externalID=FD34906 Bandwidth increases with more users (large networks). Infra guide isn't worded in a way to say netsessionenum itself tracks logouts, just that netapi polls login AND logouts, and that netsessionenum is used (maybe after the fact?)
