C Is correct Without manually configure backup switch using the command vsf secondary-member <id>, there is no standBy switch.

I was wrong, its C.. Without configuring a secondary VRF member it will show the default status as Master & Member. When appointing an secondary VRF member, the status will change to Master & Standby

Default behaviour is Master/Member. Secondary (Standby) must be explicitly configured.
