Note: This question is part of a series of questions that present the same scenario. Each question in the series contains a unique solution. Determine whether the solution meets the stated goals.
Refer to exhibit:

Server1 has two virtual machines named VM1 and VM that run Windows Server 2016. VM1 connects to Private1. VM2 has two network adapters.
You need to ensure that VM1 connects to the corporate network by using NAT.

You run the New-NetNatIpAddress and the New-NetNat cmdlets on Server1. You configure VM1 to use Server1 as the default gateway. So command 1 will fail, but New-NetNat is used. So why is this not A. Yes?

Yes. NetNat - no need for Routing role. NAT is performed on the VM host over a 'internal' type VM switch.

even if the cmdlet would exist, Server1 does not have the Routing Service installed (we can't assume it) so the command would not even work answer should be NO

"New-NetNatIpAddress" is not a valid command but every site with this question has not corrected it. Maybe MS gives this question with this typo in the exam and if it gives like that the answer is NO due to that typo?

No as server/host does not have RRAS (Routing) role, can't do NAT without it. 2 scenarios are correct: 1. VM2 connected to Pvt NW (same as VM1) as well as Ext NW. VM2 acts as Default Gateway and NAT for VM1.VM2 must have RRAS installed. 2. VM1 connected to Int NW so it can talk to host. Server/Host acts as Default Gateway and NAT for VM1. Server/Host must have RRAS installed.

Correction: 2 VM1 connected to Int NW so it can talk to host. Hyper-V Host acts as Default Gateway and NAT for VM1. HV Host has native NAT capability, does NOT need RRAS installed.

Solution: You connect VM1 to Inernal1. so you already connected it to the internal switch. now you run New-NatIPAddress & New-NetNat rjc thanks for the link https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/virtualization/hyper-v-on-windows/user-guide/setup-nat-network YES

I found this link from Microsoft. It decribes the process of running the New-NetIpAddress (typo in question) and the New-NetNat command. My only conern is in the link you run the new-vmswitch command 1st. I'm guessing the answer yes is correct. Please anyone have differnet idea or view! https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/virtualization/hyper-v-on-windows/user-guide/setup-nat-network
