The correct answer is B. On a tabular Analysis Services the connection is a Live Connection and not a Direct Query. B SSAS / Tabular = Live Connection SQL = Direct Query This sections answers are almost all wrong. Even the reference is wrong.

ps: PBI desktop <-> om-premise SQL server <-- (data Source <--AS) SSAS -> PBI service "via" Live connect; SQL server -> PBI service "via" DirectQuery.

What is the "the Connect live option"? Do you mean Live Connection?

From what I understand, Analysis services uses Connect Live option and Database uses Direct query option. Easy to remember this way.
