[All MS-203 Questions]

You have a Microsoft Exchange Server 2019 organization.
You need to ensure that a user named User1 can prevent mailbox content from being deleted if the content contains the words Fabrikam and Confidential.
What should you do?

  • A. Assign the Legal Hold and Mailbox Import Export management roles to User1.
  • B. Assign the Mailbox Search and Mailbox Import Export management roles to User1.
  • C. Add User1 to the Security Administrator role group.
  • D. Assign the Mailbox Search and Legal Hold management roles to User1.

Suggested Answer: AB 🗳️
The Legal Hold management role is required to place a mailbox on Litigation Hold or In-Place Hold. But to create a query-based In-Place Hold, you must also be assigned the Mailbox Search role. Users that have been added to the Discovery Management role-based access control (RBAC) role group (or assigned the Legal
Hold and Mailbox Search roles) can place users hold and create a query-based In-Place Hold.

Must be D. Same question as Topic 4 Question 4 but the answer positions are replaced. Here position A left as correct answer, probably unintentionally.

D, any additional answers or other answer(s) would be bogus, just like answers A,B combined together. Why would they specify the Mailbox Import Export management roles to User1 in both A and B as correct answers? They wouldn't, especially because the Mailbox Import Export management role is not needed in this scenario, at all.
