hmmm, its a DS224C connected via 12GB/s SAS. ITs A all along. Splitting disk 0-11 12-23 only happens to the front disks on the each controller

I disagree - it didn't say it's a san optimized config. Normal AFF A300 will have even-number disks on one node and odd-number on the other, so the answer is B. I built one exactly like this last week, so, you know...
