Selected Answer: D
pinging cluster lif makes no sense because you can reach only nodes on the same cluster and nothing outside the cluster. And the FlexCache is outside.

B is the correct answer based on the KB going over FlexCache Disconnected mode. It says if the WAN is down and FlexCache is in disconnected mode that means that the Intercluster lif is failing somehow. We know that the intercluster lif is down, pinging it wouldn't help - you would ping the cluster and make sure it's still functioning. "Sometimes the cluster that houses the origin and the cluster that houses the FlexCache volume cannot talk to each other over the intercluster LIFs due to WAN issues or other problems."

Answer is D, When a cluster peering is set up, the relationship between two clusters is configured over the Intercluster network. https://kb.netapp.com/Advice_and_Troubleshooting/Data_Storage_Software/ONTAP_OS/What_is_an_Intercluster_network%3F

Answer D: Replication between two clusters can occur on the intercluster network only; this is true regardless of whether the intercluster network is on the same subnet as a data network in the same cluster. https://library.netapp.com/ecmdocs/ECMP1610205/html/GUID-922151FD-8B45-4D88-B3EC-D776021A7888.html
