Replication Factor 3 means that you can loose 2x HDDs without affecting VMs/Data. So, answer A is correct.

Why A? For me C seems to be correct as all other answers contain the wording "three replicas" however two disk failed -> two replicas starting to be rebuilt not three.

However I admit that I am wrong as the situation doesn't cause VMs to crash...

Because the RF3 can tolerate two node failures, there must be 3 copies of the Data. Close reading of the answer says it will rebuild "TO" 3 copies of Data.
