Selected Answer: B
B is correct, authorization is already given in this stage. the project board should commit on the PID. if not, the second stage will be closing the project. (as it is already started, the PID is part of the initiating a project) which can only start after authorization

C is correct. The PID is a living document and will need to be updated and re-baselined, as necessary, at the end of each management stage to reflect current status.

Selected Answer: C
For 1.: According to A.20: One of the three primary uses of the PID is "to ensure that the project has a sound basis before asking the project board to make any major commitment to the project". Here, a major commitment is being referred as the authorization of the project, which takes place in the Directing a project process, after the PID has been assembled in the Initiating a project process and the authority from the project board to deliver the project has been requested (see also 16.4.9). For 2. "The PID is a living product in that it should always reflect the current status, plans and controls of the project. Its component products will need to be updated and re-baselined, as necessary, at the end of each management stage, to reflect the current status of its constituent parts." (From A.20)

As is the correct answer is B . C would be correct if the answer was Ensure that the project has a sound basis before asking the project board to make any major commitment to the project . The board at this point has already authorized the project . This has to do with continued business justification .

B is the correct answer, (PID) is to define the project, in order to form the basis for its management and an assessment of its overall success. (PID is created after project approved)(during the Initiation initiation process not before before project approval))

I think both are true because the Project Board do two authorisations: Firs the authorize an initiation after starting up a project process and then the authorize a project after the initiating a project process
