Data Policies run regardless of how data is entered into ServiceNow, while UI Policies are used for form interactions. That's why the correct answer is D.

The second requirement says "on Insert". You can insert data from outside sources, not just on the form. So you need a data policy to do that.

Data policies enable you to enforce data consistency by setting mandatory and read-only states for fields. Data policies are similar to UI policies, but UI policies only apply to data entered on a form through the standard browser. Data policies can apply rules to all data entered into the system, including data brought in through import sets or web services and data entered through the mobile UI.

It should be Data policy. The UI Policy is only applied on data on a form.

Its UI Policy. Read the question carefully. Making fields to Read-only and mandatory comes under UI Policy

Since the rule is applied always it should be Data Policy. If the rule as in certain circumstances, such as when another field is enabled, then it would be UI Policy.

"F" is the correct answer since it applies to all forms of inputting data: load data, REST-API, UI form input, etc. "D" is valid only for UI form input. As an administrator, if you only do "D", then you have not done a complete job.

For example, you can use UI policies to make the number field on a form read-only, make the short description field mandatory, and hide other fields. Basic UI policies do not require any scripting, however for more advanced actions, use the Run scripts option.

D, UI Policy since the question is talking about lists and forms. Data Policy is used on import sets to enforce Data Policy rules on import set fields, making them mandatory or read only.

Correct answer is F. Data Policy. What are the difference between UI policy and data policy in Servicenow? Image result for data policy in servicenow UI policies are used to dynamically change content of forms whereas data policies are used to enforce data consistency.
