You can use L2 VPN to extend your Layer 2 networks to a site that is not managed by NSX-T Data Center. An autonomous NSX Edge can be deployed on the site, as an L2 VPN client. The autonomous NSX Edge is simple to deploy, easily programmable, and provides high-performance VPN. The autonomous NSX Edge is deployed using an OVF file on a host that is not managed by NSX-T Data Center. You can also enable high availability (HA) for VPN redundancy by deploying primary and secondary autonomous Edge L2 VPN clients. https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-NSX-T-Data-Center/3.0/administration/GUID-BE8A3D3C-5E0D-4777-B4F4-908E64FCB771.html

NSX-V had the "Standalone EDGE", NSX-T has the "Autonomous EDGE", they just renamed it for more confusion.

D is right. NSX-T Data Center supports IPSec Virtual Private Network (IPSec VPN) and Layer 2 VPN (L2 VPN) on an NSX Edge node. IPSec VPN offers site-to-site connectivity between an NSX Edge node and remote sites. With L2 VPN, you can extend your data center by enabling virtual machines to keep their network connectivity across geographical boundaries while using the same IP address. https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-NSX-T-Data-Center/3.0/administration/GUID-A8B113EC-3D53-41A5-919E-78F1A3705F58.html

C is the right answer If one of the sites that you want to stretch is not backed by NSX, you can deploy a standalone Edge as the L2 VPN client on that site.
