ICD-10-CM Index - Diabetes / with / polyneuropathy E11.42. Then looking in the Tabular with the other codes, the other codes don't address the question properly.

In the guidelines it specifies that "If the type of diabetes mellitus is not documented in the medical record the default is E.-, Type 2 diabetes mellitus.

It was never stated what type of diabetes it was, I got confused.
