You're correct w.r.t EFS feature on the usual EC2 instance side but EFS file system won't work with the Windows based EC2 instances as they specifically need Windows FSx File Share system here in this usecase scenario.

D is correct Amazon EFS uses the Network File System version 4.1 (NFSv4.1) protocol to share file systems with EC2 instances.
