Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL with Babelfish provides a new way to run SQL Server applications on PostgreSQL. Babelfish understands the SQL Server wire protocol (TDS) and T-SQL, the SQL Server query language. By using Babelfish, you can switch from SQL Server to Aurora PostgreSQL with minimal effort and reduce the cost because Aurora PostgreSQL is less expensive than SQL Server.
