C is correct, Here is a comparison between the old NAT instance and new NAT Gateway: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/vpc/latest/userguide/vpc-nat-comparison.html Specific to this question regarding performance: NAT GW: Performance Software is optimized for handling NAT traffic. NAT Instance: A generic Amazon Linux AMI that's configured to perform NAT. Bandwidth: NAT GW: Can scale up to 45 Gbps. NAT Instance: Depends on the bandwidth of the instance type.
