C is correct. 1 NAT Gateway is required in each of the AZ.

Good catch Rasj, BUT "Availability - Highly available. NAT gateways in each Availability Zone are implemented with redundancy. Create a NAT gateway in each Availability Zone to ensure zone-independent architecture." So we at this point we don't need any ELB.

let me give you a hint. AWS always wants you to use nat gateways over nat instances if you dont see any concerns about the cost in the question just stick with nat gateway.

as i can see most peoples go with "C" ok ! Q: highly available fault tolerant, and automatically scalable ?! any tool make this ?! i mean if we lose any of our "instances" in any AZ or High trafic ?! where is our back ?! Auto Scaling + - instances & Load Balancer Trafic And the Questions Ask About highly available fault tolerant So ans = "B" Maybe i'm wrong or Maybe i'm right ,,,, If I'm wrong, I hope someone who knows me will correct me ,,, Thanks.

NAT gateway is managed by AWS itself. They are scalable upto 45gbps from 5 gbps. Please read documents about NAT gateway.

C for sure. NAT gateway is highly avaiable unlike NAT instance, but within one AZ. So we need to install atleast in different AZ

C- Nat gateway is ideal for this network. The company needs fault tolerant in their network which different Availability Zones will solve.
