Ans: B & E 2 Control Nodes need to run all the time - Reserved Instances is best 18 worker Nodes run 4 hrs a day - Spot instances/On-demand. Spot block would've been the best option.

B. Use Reserved Instances for the control nodes. Explanation: Using Reserved Instances for the control nodes could be a cost-effective option. Reserved Instances provide a significant discount compared to On-Demand Instances when you commit to a one- or three-year term. Since the control nodes are essential components that run continuously, using Reserved Instances for them can help save costs while ensuring stability. E. Use Spot Instances for the worker nodes and On-Demand Instances if there is no Spot availability. Explanation: This option suggests using Spot Instances for the worker nodes, which is a viable cost-effective approach. Spot Instances offer substantial cost savings but can be subject to interruptions if the Spot price exceeds your bid or if there is insufficient capacity. By having a fallback plan to use On-Demand Instances when Spot Instances are not available or too expensive, the company can maintain the necessary computing capacity while still benefiting from Spot pricing when it's available.

AWS has terminated scheduled reserved instances. https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/UserGuide/ec2-scheduled-instances.html

I agree with all your answers but I was under the impression that with reserved instance, we need at least one year duration and nothing is said of the duration here and so we might just be assuming. Just a thought though.
