AWS Direct Connect links your internal network to an AWS Direct Connect location over a standard 1 gigabit or 10 gigabit Ethernet fiber-optic cable. An AWS Direct Connect location provides access to Amazon Web Services in the region it is associated with, as well as access to other US regions. To use AWS Direct Connect, your network is collocated with an existing AWS Direct Connect location. Connections to AWS Direct Connect require single mode fiber, 1000BASE-LX (1310nm) for 1 gigabit Ethernet, or 10GBASE-LR (1310nm) for 10 gigabit Ethernet. Auto Negotiation for the port must be disabled. Reference: http://docs.aws.amazon.com/directconnect/latest/UserGuide/Welcome.html
D is wrong because you do not have to be colocated. Your third party provider has to be colocated with an AWS direct connect location. Do not forget you can use partners for direct connect.

B. is wrong.
Yes. Direct Connect Partners can help you extend your preexisting data center or office network to a Direct Connect location. Please see Direct Connect Partners for more information. With Direct Connect Gateway, you can access any AWS Region from any AWS Direct Connect Location (excluding China)
I was wrong. B is actually correct.

An AWS Direct Connect location provides access to AWS in the Region with which it is associated

You can create a Direct Connect gateway in any public Region. Use it to connect your AWS Direct Connect connection over a private virtual interface to VPCs in your account that are located in different Regions or to a transit gateway. For more information, see Working with Direct Connect gateways.
Not B -- " ...Services in the region it is associated with, as well as access to other US regions. .."
Should be D - "...To use AWS Direct Connect, your network is collocated with an existing AWS Direct Connect location..."
D is correct. Even it is stated in the description, and I think the answer suggested by ExamTopics 'B' is a typo error and not correct. Again, the correct answer is 'D'.
