A The AWS Transfer Family provides fully managed support for file transfers directly into and out of Amazon S3 or Amazon EFS. With support for Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP), File Transfer Protocol over SSL (FTPS), and File Transfer Protocol (FTP), the AWS Transfer Family helps you seamlessly migrate your file transfer workflows to AWS by integrating with existing authentication systems, and providing DNS routing with Amazon Route 53 so nothing changes for your customers and partners, or their applications. The AWS Transfer Family lets you preserve your existing data exchange processes while taking advantage of the superior economics, data durability, and security of Amazon S3 or Amazon EFS.

You also need to share with remote employees, and external partners so you can't do it with storage gateway

Why not D With cached Volume Gateway mode, your primary data is stored in Amazon S3, so internal users have full access to the data from on-prem. While external users would access the data from S3 directly. It provides better instant data access than using the FTP/SFTP protocol, which works in a batch mode.

FSx is a cloud file share svc and still need SGW to access it from On-Prem. It has FSx for Windows File Server (support both NFS & SMB) & FSx for Lustre (support NFS in HPC).

I agree with D. It is assumed the files are reasonable in size and do not take too much time to use the protocol. better option is D

It's not right cos with Volume Gateway you are mapping a "disk" (or, more precisely, a "volume". Using Volume Gateway you can't go into S3 and see the files inside that "disk". This option is just to trick you, but if it was "File Gateway" then we'd have to think https://aws.amazon.com/storagegateway/volume/

Yeah, I think A is the best Answer. I might be having a hard time if the option for storage gateway is File Gateway. Internal users can access FG and external in S3. But AWS Transfer Family provides fully managed support for file transfers directly into and out. So, I guess this is the best and secure choice via SFTP.
