Exam AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate SAA-C02 topic 1 question 463 discussion

A company is building an application that consists of several microservices. The company has decided to use container technologies to deploy its software on
AWS. The company needs a solution that minimizes the amount of ongoing effort for maintenance and scaling. The company cannot manage additional infrastructure.
Which combination of actions should a solutions architect take to meet these requirements? (Choose two.)

  • A. Deploy an Amazon Elastic Container Service (Amazon ECS) cluster.
  • B. Deploy the Kubernetes control plane on Amazon EC2 instances that span multiple Availability Zones.
  • C. Deploy an Amazon Elastic Container Service (Amazon ECS) service with an Amazon EC2 launch type. Specify a desired task number level of greater than or equal to 2.
  • D. Deploy an Amazon Elastic Container Service (Amazon ECS) service with a Fargate launch type. Specify a desired task number level of greater than or equal to 2.
  • E. Deploy Kubernetes worker nodes on Amazon EC2 instances that span multiple Availability Zones. Create a deployment that specifies two or more replicas for each microservice.

It should be A and D. The question repeatedly says managing infrastructure must not be an option so EC2 is off the topic. Also can user fargate with micro services without any issue. This question was on my test that I passed on Nov 20 2021. I picked A D. Roughly half of the questions are from this 500 examtopics dump. But other half were unheard of new and lengthy ones in my test. Some of those questions had similarities but had twisted options. Good luck ya'll.

Microservice: Essentially it implies dividing an application into smaller scalable components. These communicate via APIs. AWS offers Containers and Lambda as 2 ways to achieve this goal. 'Little work' ,'infrastructure cannot be managed' indicate serverless ->ie ECS or EKS with the Fargate launch type(we have 2 launch types-EC2 and Fargate). So D is for sure Hence,A is the other choice-deploy the ECS cluster. A,D

A + D - simple The Qn says minimize maintenance and EC2 does exactly the opposite.

'The company needs a solution that minimizes the amount of ongoing effort for maintenance and scaling. The company cannot manage additional infrastructure.' So EC2 is out of options. Also i don't see the reason of deploying k8 control plane on EC2 since it's fully managed by ECS or Fargate. Since it's a microservice app it would be hard to maintain it with Fargate. So my answer would be A & C.
