Exam AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional topic 1 question 98 discussion

You deployed your company website using Elastic Beanstalk and you enabled log file rotation to S3. An Elastic Map Reduce job is periodically analyzing the logs on S3 to build a usage dashboard that you share with your CIO.
You recently improved overall performance of the website using Cloud Front for dynamic content delivery and your website as the origin.
After this architectural change, the usage dashboard shows that the traffic on your website dropped by an order of magnitude.
How do you fix your usage dashboard?

  • A. Enable Cloud Front to deliver access logs to S3 and use them as input of the Elastic Map Reduce job.
  • B. Turn on Cloud Trail and use trail log tiles on S3 as input of the Elastic Map Reduce job
  • C. Change your log collection process to use Cloud Watch ELB metrics as input of the Elastic Map Reduce job
  • D. Use Elastic Beanstalk "Rebuild Environment" option to update log delivery to the Elastic Map Reduce job.
  • E. Use Elastic Beanstalk "Restart App server(s)" option to update log delivery to the Elastic Map Reduce job.

After you have created and deployed your Elastic Beanstalk application you can sign up for CloudFront and start using CloudFront to distribute your content. CF needs to be operated separately and hence, A is correct.

Should modify through Beanstalk, D. Otherwise Beanstalk is useless. https://docs.aws.amazon.com/elasticbeanstalk/latest/dg/environment-management-rebuild.html

I'm fairly certain you cannot add CloudFront through Beanstalk. You'd have to build the CF distro separately and point it your Beanstalk stack. Therefore the CloudFront logging would be setup separately as well. I'd go with A.

D is more appropriate as Beanstalk managed systems has to be managed by Beanstalk ... although A also do the work.

Answer is D, Reason is ElasticBean stalk environment is already running and pushing logs to S3, only addition is cloud front. may be a re-build environment is sufficient to fix the issue.

The requests are not even making it to EB, they're being answered by cloudfront. Nothing you do in EB will make any difference
