You need to manage the EC2 to install the NAT instance. NAT Gateway is managed by AWS. Managed by AWS. You do not need to perform any maintenance.... If you're already using a NAT instance, AWS recommends that you replace it with a NAT gateway. https://docs.aws.amazon.com/vpc/latest/userguide/vpc-nat-comparison.html

B is right, Don't trust the answers from the website, most are wrong. I only trust the discussions, but looks like these new questions don't have much discussion anymore.
