A company needs to report on events that involve the specific AWS services that the company uses. Which AWS service or resource can the company use with Amazon CloudWatch to meet this requirement?
I don`t like this question. It`s too generic. What kind of events are they meaning?
AWS CloudTrail serve to log USER activities (as stop a instance or change its configuration).

D. AWS CloudTrail logs
AWS CloudTrail logs provide a record of all the AWS Management Console sign-in events and API calls made in the AWS account. CloudTrail logs can be used to report on events that involve specific AWS services that a company uses. The company can use CloudTrail logs with Amazon CloudWatch to monitor and alert on specific activities that occur within their AWS environment.
CloudWatch is a monitoring service for AWS resources and the applications you run on AWS. You can use CloudWatch to collect and track metrics, collect and monitor log files, and set alarms.
Amazon Inspector, AWS Personal Health Dashboard, and AWS Trusted Advisor are not the right services to use for this specific use case. Inspector is an automated security assessment service, Personal Health Dashboard is a service that provides a personalized view into the performance and availability of the AWS resources, and Trusted Advisor is a service that provides real-time guidance to help optimize performance, security, and cost.
Not sure why most are going for CloudTrail where Personal health dashboard is specifically used for this use case. The question doesn't mention API or S3 data events rather any events probably which can cause service outage for the AWS services that the customer is using.
AWS CloudTrail is a service that enables governance, compliance, operational auditing, and risk auditing of your AWS account. It records all actions taken by users, roles, or AWS services within your AWS account, providing event history data for security analysis, resource tracking, and troubleshooting. These event logs are stored in Amazon S3 and can be integrated with Amazon CloudWatch for monitoring and reporting purposes.
By using AWS CloudTrail logs with Amazon CloudWatch, the company can report on events that involve specific AWS services, track user activities, and monitor changes to resources. This combination allows for comprehensive monitoring and reporting on various aspects of the AWS environment.
This would be B. Personal health dashboard provides detailed information about performance and availability of AWS services which may impact customers resources. it works along with cloudwatch and provide notifications when there are issues with cloudwatch service.
refer below
https://aws.amazon.com/premiumsupport/faqs/?nc=sn&loc=6
Personal Health Dashboard is focused on service disruptions and health events that affect a customer's AWS resources, rather than providing insights into specific AWS services used by a company. In contrast, CloudTrail logs with CloudWatch can be used to monitor and report on specific AWS services used by a company, including API calls and events related to those services. This can provide more detailed information about how the company is using AWS services, and help identify potential security issues or opportunities for optimization.
Why not B?
The question states: "the specific AWS services that the company uses."
And you can find the following here: https://aws.amazon.com/premiumsupport/technology/aws-health-dashboard/
"When you sign in to the AWS Health Dashboard, you have a personalized view of the AWS service status that powers your application. Use the AWS Health Dashboard to learn about specific operational issues that affect your account. For example, if you receive an event for a lost Amazon Elastic Block Store (EBS) volume associated with one of your Amazon EC2 instances, you can quickly view how your resources are impacted, helping you to troubleshoot and remediate."
Because the question asked: "service or resource that use with Amazon CloudWatch"
You can also use CloudWatch Events with services that do not emit events and are not listed on this page. AWS CloudTrail is a service that automatically records events such as AWS API calls. You can create CloudWatch Events rules that trigger on the information captured by CloudTrail. For more information about CloudTrail, see What is AWS CloudTrail?
