The SBCE does not recognize the CA authority of the SM signed certificate. This means that the SBCE has to become aware of that identity certificate. Correct is C and D

I think it is CD. Root CA that signed SM identity certificate must be added to SBCE and then TLS profile should be configured on SBCE.
