WRONG, Data masking is a security technique that hides (masks) real data with fictional or scrambled but realistic-looking data. It’s used to protect sensitive information in non-production environments or where full access isn’t appropriate.
In some implementations, only when correct, validated data is submitted (such as authentication credentials, correct format inputs, etc.), will the real data be unmasked or allow access to downstream processes. Thus, submitting correct data unlocks further processes.
