You modified kernel parameters and after rebooting the gateway, a lot of production traffic gets dropped and the gateway acts strangely. What should you do?
A.
Run command fw ctl set int fw1_kernel_all_disable=1
B.
Restore fwkern.conf from backup and reboot the gateway
C.
run fw unloadlocal to remove parameters from kernel
D.
Remove all kernel parameters from fwkern.conf and reboot
The "fwkern.conf" file contains kernel parameter configurations for the Security Gateway. If you modify kernel parameters and the gateway starts behaving abnormally after a reboot, the best course of action is to restore the "fwkern.conf" file from a known good backup and reboot the gateway. This ensures that the gateway reverts to a stable configuration.
if you modified existing kernel parameters, best thing is to roll back from backup. not to delete all parameters back to default.
