VPNK stands for VPN Kernel.
It is the kernel-level module responsible for handling all VPN (Virtual Private Network) related operations on Check Point Security Gateways.
This module manages the encryption, decryption, and secure tunneling of VPN traffic, including both Site-to-Site and Remote Access VPNs.
vpnd - governs most aspects of vpn
cvpnd - mobile access vpn, unless specified it is mobile access, this is not the correct answer.
vpnk - handles vpn traffic functions within the firewall kernel. ipsec negotiations which are handled by the VPND user mode process, generate Security Associations (SA's). These associations are then passed on to the VPNK process, which will perform the actual encryption and decryption of traffic.
