For the selected answer to make sense the question should ask 'each MEMBER of a cluster'.

I don't quite agree, it doesn't matter a cluster member or a cluster, because when you create a cluster, you combine the interfaces into cluster ones, as a result you have 2 VIP (1st incoming and 2nd outgoing interfaces) and 1 SYNC interface = 3

yeah. Theorically speaking, if you consider a cluster on an abstract level, it has 2 interfaces, one inbound and one outbound.
