You configure the first node as "Primary" (from standalone) and then enable the personas (Enable Administration and Monitoring personas on the first node), followed by "Register the secondary node" and "Define personas for the secondary node"

As the other member of this community is saying here is not right. An ISE node by default have all the personas enabled so PAN/Mnt/PSN ecc.. The personas cannot be selected until we promote the node as the Primary PAN node. After that you need to register the other nodes and then after that the nodes are registered you can promote the secondary PAN node

1. Make primary 2. Enable Admin and Mnt personas 3. Register secondary 4. Define personas. https://www.ciscopress.com/articles/article.asp?p=2812072#:~:text=From%20the%20ISE%20GUI%20on%20the%20primary%20PAN%2C,operations%20with%20ISE%2C%20DNS%20is%20a%20critical%20component.

I think the answer is correct. Step1: When we setup the first node, it's in standalone mode by default. The PAN and MnT personas are enabled Step2: Configure / promote the first node to be primary node and keep the selected personas Step3 and 4 without a discussion

Tricky. Standalone mode has all the roles on it, cant be deselected. https://www.ciscopress.com/articles/article.asp?p=2812072 You can see pictures of the configuration. 1 Configure the first node as the primary node. 2 Enable Administration and Monitoring personas on the first node. Roles can checked or unchecked now. 3 Register the secondary node. 4 Define personas for the secondary node.
