An administrator is configuring a Cisco WLC for web authentication. Which two client profiling methods are enabled by default if the Apply Cisco ISE Default Settings check box has been selected? (Choose two.)
no need to vote - provided answer is correct
see wlc config doc:
https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/controller/8-4/config-guide/b_cg84/initial_setup.html
(Optional) Enable Apply Cisco ISE default settings to automatically set the following parameters:
RADIUS client profiling: DHCP profiling and HTTP profiling are enabled by default
CE ARE RIGHT:
By default in the radius client profiling tab there is specified to enable DHCP and HTTP profiling:
https://community.cisco.com/t5/security-knowledge-base/top-six-important-cisco-wlc-settings-for-ise-integration/ta-p/3643795
https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/controller/technotes/7-5/NativeProfiling75.html
just se ctrl + f and search for profiling, you will see the wlc dashboard with this two options in the images.
The two client profiling methods that are enabled by default if the Apply Cisco ISE Default Settings check box has been selected are:
DHCP
SNMP
LLDP and CDP are not enabled by default. HTTP is not a client profiling method.
When the Apply Cisco ISE Default Settings check box is selected, Cisco ISE configures the WLC to use DHCP and SNMP to collect client profiling information. DHCP provides information about the client's IP address, subnet mask, and gateway. SNMP provides information about the client's hardware and software configuration.
LLDP and CDP are not enabled by default because they are not as reliable as DHCP and SNMP. LLDP is a Layer 2 protocol, and CDP is a Layer 3 protocol. This means that they can be unreliable in networks with a large number of devices or devices that are not connected to the same network segment.
HTTP is not a client profiling method because it is not a standard protocol for collecting client information. HTTP is a protocol for exchanging hypertext documents. It is not designed to collect information about the client's hardware and software configuration.
I would say the provided answer is correct. According to the book we need to enable HTTP and DHCP profiling option in WLC so probably this option will automate this process
Not true. DHCP, RADIUS and SNMP enabled by default only
