priority queues are critical for VOIP over saturated links. Otherwise random VOIP packet drops WILL cause obvious call quality degradation. I've seen this first hand.

For voice services, frequent handoffs caused by aggressive load balancing can lead to dropped calls or interruptions, thus affecting call quality. Therefore, aggressive load balancing should be disabled to ensure a stable connection for voice calls.
Low Latency Queueing
A priority queue is required for VoIP. You can use any queueing mechanism that effectively gives VoIP high priority, but low latency queueing (LLQ) is recommended because it is flexible and easy to configure.
