Sorry Correct AnsKeep in mind that the 37xx appliances were not around.
Max sessions in a mid size deployment using the 36xx appliances is 50,000.
in this case, they have more/over than 50,000 so they will need a large deployment.

The Answer is C:
the question here is about how many active sessions are active.
In this case cause the maximum sessions are not 50000 but more we need to scale to medium deployment.
As written in the design guide for deploying ISE nodes here:
"PAN + MnT + pxGrid running on the same node.
One node as primary and the other node as secondary for redundancy.
PSNs on dedicated nodes."
Below the guide:

I think C is right
Considerations for Choosing a Deployment
• You can choose small deployment for up to 50,000 concurrent active sessions and medium deployment for up to 150,000 concurrent active sessions.
• Large deployment is recommended for more than 150,000 concurrent concurrent active sessions. It is always recommended to register MnT nodes as Dedicated MnT in Large deployment.
Medium-Sized Network Deployments
In medium-sized network deployments, you can dedicate the new nodes for all AAA functions, and use the original nodes for configuration and logging functions.
In a medium-sized network deployment, you cannot enable the Policy Service persona on a node that runs the Administration persona, Monitoring persona, or both. You need dedicated policy service node(s).

Medium C You can choose small deployment for up to 50,000 concurrent active sessions and medium deployment for up to 150,000 concurrent active sessions. Pan/MNT on SAME nodes (Primary/Secondary) with dedicated PSN
Should be Large. Check table

It is Medium .C - According to the link you shared "You can choose small deployment for up to 50,000 concurrent active sessions and medium deployment for up to 150,000 concurrent active sessions.:
I would go for A.
See this statement with reference to official book: "To grow the scale beyond 50,000 concurrent active sessions or beyond 5 PSNs, the Administration and Monitoring personas must be running on dedicated nodes. Once all personas are divided up to dedicated nodes, the scale can reach 2,000,000 active concurrent sessions in ISE Version 2.7 and the SNS-3695 appliance, with a maximum of 50 PSNs plus up to 4 dedicated pxGrid PSNs".
