To revert a three-node vManage cluster to a single vManage, you can use the cluster conversion utility 1. The cluster conversion utility is a tool that converts a vManage cluster to a standalone vManage 2. The following steps can be used to convert a vManage cluster to a standalone vManage: Log in to the CLI of the vManage node that you want to convert to standalone mode. Enter the command request system cluster convert-to-standalone. Confirm that you want to convert the node to standalone mode by entering yes. Wait for the node to reboot. After the node reboots, it will be in standalone mode 1. For more information on converting a vManage cluster to a standalone vManage, please refer to the Cisco Community post 1.

SD-WAN will not allow you to remove two nodes from a cluster. It requires that at least 2 nodes remain. So there seems to be no right answer to this question.

You can remove a Cisco vManage node from a cluster, if necessary. In releases earlier than Cisco vManage Release 20.6.1, you can only remove n - 2 Cisco vManage nodes from a cluster of n nodes. You must retain at least two Cisco vManage nodes in a cluster
