/21 is 21 bit for network address, so 21 bits = (16 + 5 )bits 255.255 takes up 16bits, another 5 bits = 1111000 = 248. hence /21 = 1111 1111 . 1111 1111 . 1111 1000 . 0000 0000 = 255.255.248.0

Watch "Subnet Mystery" then do /17 - /24 (not /25 - /32) start from the /17 = 128 , /18 = 192 and so on . you'll get to /21 = 248
