L2F, L2TP, GRE, and MPLS VPNs do not provide data integrity, authentication, and data encryption. On the other hand, you can combine L2TP, GRE, and MPLS with IPsec to provide these benefits. (source: Official Cert Guide to SCOR 350-701 from Omar Santos)

C and D are correct. The given answers are their non secured version of their counterpart. GRE can be used with IPSEC certainly. and so can layer 2 tunnel protocol PPTP. PPTP / IPSEC = GRE and L2TP

A and D are the answers. GRE does not provide data encryption. "VPN protocols that use IPSec encryption include L2TP, IKEv2, and SSTP" https://www.comparitech.com/blog/vpn-privacy/ipsec-vs-ssl-vpn/ "While GRE provides a stateless, private connection, it is not considered a secure protocol because it does not use encryption like the IP Security (IPsec) Encapsulating Security Payload (ESP), defined by RFC 2406." https://www.techtarget.com/searchnetworking/definition/Generic-Routing-Encapsulation-GRE

The question asks which protocol supports IPSEC (works together with IPSEC) to provide a complete solution. See Kromwall's URLs

in link you provided says: "PPTP is often replaced by Layer 2 Tunnelling Protocol (L2TP) which is another VPN protocol that provides security using IPsec, and PPTP has also been made obsolete by L2TP and IPsec."
