Selected Answer: A
Summarization reduces the size of the routing table by consolidating multiple routes into a single summary route. When a specific route fails, EIGRP queries are contained within the area defined by the summary route, preventing the queries from spreading throughout the entire network. This containment of queries results in faster convergence because fewer routers need to process the queries and respond.

Imagine the topology of A-B-C-D and the link failure of A-B. And how would summarization or triangle topology would help.

A question ask about “topologies can be designed” For me is triangle, that improves the fast convergence for EIGRP (square is worst). Summarisation by the way helps to do the convergence faster too

Maybe to consider C? By building neighbor adjacencies in a squared fashion, you can reduce the diameter of the EIGRP network and limit the scope of query propagation. This means that when a link failure occurs, the query messages to recompute routes will have a smaller domain to traverse, leading to faster convergence. In a squared fashion, each router is directly connected to its neighbors, forming a square or grid-like topology. This approach helps to minimize the query propagation delay and reduce the time required for reconvergence, allowing the network to converge quickly and maintain optimal routing paths.
