To segregate all iPads on the guest WLAN into a separate VLAN without using Cisco ISE, the best option is to use local policies on the WLC.
Local policies on the WLC allow administrators to assign VLANs based on device type, MAC address, SSID, or other criteria.
This method does not require external authentication or profiling servers like Cisco ISE.
The WLC can classify iPads using attributes such as DHCP option 55 (Vendor Class Identifier) or User-Agent information from HTTP traffic.
Why Not the Other Options?
B. Use 802.1x authentication to profile the devices.
802.1X is an authentication mechanism and does not inherently classify or assign VLANs to devices.
