I find this question to be wrong. So, is it wrong on this sample or is also wrong in the Cisco exam. Cat 5 cable was engineered for 10/100 networks. It MAY be able to carry 1000 speeds if the length of cable is short enough but this is by no means guaranteed. Cat 5 e is required for 1000 or gigabit speeds.
