None of these answers are really accurate. D) sounds right however encryption does not prevent data from being intercepted, it can still be intercepted the attacker just won't be able to read...A) refers to spyware which is typically locally installed malware and encryption in this course is used mainly to protect data in transit...both answers are bad but I would pick D on the exam
A is correct
Encryption does not PREVENT INTERCEPTION of data, it PREVENTS READING INTERCEPTED DATA. You can still intercept encrypted data it just gives you a useless mess of characters.
Spyware would be intercepting data, but it would not matter as the attacker would not be able to do anything with it.
