Selected Answer: A
The feature that could prevent a workstation from receiving a DHCP address is STP (Spanning Tree Protocol). STP is a network protocol that prevents loops in Ethernet networks by selectively blocking certain redundant paths. If the port connected to the workstation is blocked by STP, it would prevent the transmission of DHCP discovery packets, resulting in the workstation not receiving a DHCP address. The other options, 802.1Q, VTP, and DTP, are unrelated to DHCP address assignment and do not have a direct impact on a workstation's ability to receive a DHCP address. 802.1Q is a standard for VLAN tagging, VTP (VLAN Trunking Protocol) is used for managing VLAN configurations, and DTP (Dynamic Trunking Protocol) is used to negotiate trunking between switches.

STP can prevent DHCP clients from getting an address because the port doesn't start forwarding traffic until STP goes into the forwarding state. That can be up to 30 seconds.

https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/400120-what-command-can-i-use-to-prevent-the-issue-of-host-not-receiving-a-dhcp-add According to the issue from the link, it MIGHT be due to STP divergence clearing/organizing the ports. Question is very vague.

answer B If the DHCP server resides in a different vlan (802.1Q) the client will not get an IP address unless dhcp ip-helper address (DHCP relay) is configured on router/switch. Other responses may be right depending on topology. But 802.1Q seems the most appropriate.
