im going with B & D Replaces hello messages: BFD provides a rapid failure detection mechanism that can be used instead of or in conjunction with traditional hello messages used in routing protocols. Scalable: BFD is designed to be scalable, allowing it to efficiently detect failures in large networks with minimal overhead. A is incorrect since reliability is not typically a defining feature of BFD, as BFD's primary goal is fast failure detection rather than ensuring reliability in the conventional sense.

They threw us off with A. They didn't mean reliable in the traditional sense. Reliable packets are considered reliable because of an ACK. This is what they meant. BFD in this sense isn't reliable. According to Cisco Docs BFD is: Scalable : 1 bfd session can be applied to multiple routing protocols Replaces Hello Messages: I wouldn't say replace in the traditional sense, but replaces Hello messages for failure detection, when a routing protocol registers with BFD.

Does not seem good. I woudl never descibe BFD as scalable but for sure I would say that is very reliable.

Scalable because 1 bfd session can register multiple protocols.
