An HSRP design requirement states that preemption must be enabled for the active switch, which is a Cisco 4507R. Assume a boot time of 300 seconds. Which setting of the preemption delay timer minimizes the loss of traffic?
The delay of 50% happens after the link comes back, so if boot took 300ms, the delay should be configured for 50% of this 300ms. 150 is correct for me.
Cisco say value should be 50% greater than boot time. In this case, should be 450s. So, 200s is the best answer. The answer of 150s is 50% of boot time - think this is wrong!
