Traffic is coming from the internet so can not be the cisco_uds record, as it is created on the internal DNS only. Collab_edge is the external DNS record. It has to be port blocked or traversal zone down

Either port blocked, or the UC traversal zone is down.

D & E are correct. The links in the comments do not refer to UC Zone at all.

There is no "Unified Communications zone", B can't be right....cannot assume it refers to "Unified Communications traversal zone"

Selected Answer: DE
Traffic coming through an MRA pair (C&E) DOES use the _cisco-uds record to get from the C to CUCM. B is wrong because there is no unified Communications Zone (there is a UC Traversal zone, close, but different) in the expressway. Since the 8443 traffic is actually destined for CUCM, if the _cisco-uds record is botched, it won't get there...and thus it will be unreachable.

Nothing in this link specifies anything about a "UC Zone". It does mention both the _cisco-uds SRV and firewalls blocking ports,

Not D, cisco-uds is an internal srv, collab-edge is the external (internet facing) srv record
