A and B:
"IMP Login has two stages namely SOAP Login which deals with User authentication and then XMPP Login which deals with XMPP session creation and Stream Management."
You're right, the question asks what protocol is used between IMP and Jabber (not CUCM and Jabber).
LDAP can be a connection protocol used, but not by the IMP
The correct answer is SOAP and XMPP: https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/unified-communications/jabber/212471-jabber-login.html
"Jabber user Authentication with CUCM to retrieve the Service profile details which contains IMP server, Voicemail, Conferencing, CTI server details and also Device Configuration file for Phone services.
Once the CUCM Log in is successful, Jabber logs in to the IM&P server to authenticate and retrieve the contact list and other IM services.
The IM&P Log in has two stages namely: SOAP Log in which deals with user authentication, and then XMPP Log in which deals with XMPP session creation and Stream Management."
A is NOT correct. Stop saying A is correct. Cisco IM and Presence does NOT use Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol to AUTHENTICATE Jabber clients. It DOES, however, use XMPP to communicate with Jabber clients. XMPP is the underlying protocol used for instant messaging and presence in Jabber. Jabber clients use XMPP to send and receive instant messages and to update their presence information. NOT AUTHENTICATION. STOP IT.
The IM&P Log in has two stages namely:
SOAP Log in which deals with user authentication, and then
XMPP Log in which deals with XMPP session creation and Stream Management.

The correct answers are B and D. LDAP is used to authenticate and SOAP is used to synchronize between IM&P and CUCM.

Correct answer:AB
LDAP is not a requirement. the End Users could be also Local users.
IMP Login has two stages namely SOAP Login which deals with User authentication and then XMPP Login which deals with XMPP session creation and Stream Management.

You actually are correct. SOAP does play a role in authentication by being the protocol used to encapsulate the SAML messages. LDAP is an authentication method used to login, but it is not required. BUT XMPP is NOT part of the authentication. It only deals with XMPP session creation and stream management. NOT authentication. It has to be B and D.
