With this statement I'm leaning more towards option B...
i'm not sure about this answer, the main benefit of deploying ESA in hybrid mode is protecting for SPAM and virus in incoming messages with the cloud appliance, and apply DLP and mechanism to prevent confidential data to leave the company through the on premise appliance, i think B should be the answer
