Assigning Affinities to Interfaces
To use affinities, you must assign them to interfaces in a way that encourages favorable routes and discourages others. For example, continental paths might have one affinity and international paths have another.
The basic idea about MPLS TE affinity is to add an attribute to a link and be able to include or exclude this link during path calculation. The concept is also known as link coloring.
