The 's' is ok there, the 2nd line is where the 's' should be removed as it stated.

Looking into the actual YANG file at https://www.yangcatalog.org/yang-search/yang_tree/Cisco-IOS-XR-ifmgr-cfg@2020-10-01 shows that interface-configurations (with an s) is the CONTAINER and interface-configuration (WITHOUT an s) is a LIST
