D is correct, but it depends if the default gateway is configured, else drop traffic. D is the single option decent

Default gateway is the only answer that makes sense, but actually if a packet destination is not included in the routing table then it is discarded

This question does not have any right answer. Maybe could be a misleading with default route, but if a default route is defined it was present in routing table. So the right answer should be "The packet is discarded".

ip default-gateway would technically fit this question as it doesn't show up in a device without a routing table (l2 switch). Agreed.. stupid wording.
